Day 8 - Manchester
A leisurely start to the day with homemade breakfast of smoked salmon bagels, with scrambled egg and avocado. Tom took Douglas for a walk to expend some energy and we had lunch at Spring Cottage, back at the Rivington Reservoir. Home made chilli con carne with the most divine mango salsa, corn chips and yoghurt. The biscoff cake looked fabulous, so Heather and I split the last slab between us and Tom had the vanilla strawberry cake.
Tom
starts a rotation of night shift at 7pm this evening so went to have a sleep in
the afternoon. It was a lovely warm.sunny day so Heather and I sat outside in
the garden yakking and occasionally refereeing spats between Douglas and
Merlin.
Tom
headed off to work and Heather cooked me a fantastic lamb rogan josh for
dinner. I think I've put on 5 kg in the last 3 days alone!
